A Transformative Fusion of Spirituality and Recovery
I was initially intrigued by “The Old Testament 12 Step Workbook: A 90 Day Program of Bible-Based Addiction Recovery” because of its unique blend of ancient scripture and contemporary recovery principles. To my delight, this book exceeded all expectations. Not only does it offer an insightful, step-by-step guide for those battling addiction, but it also provides a rich understanding of the Old Testament scriptures, linking them seamlessly to the recovery process.
Each step is introduced with a relevant passage from the Old Testament, followed by insightful commentary that aids in personal reflection. This holistic approach made me feel both spiritually grounded and motivated throughout my 90-day journey. The exercises are thought-provoking and genuinely transformative, helping readers grapple with the root causes of their addiction while also providing a blueprint for lasting change.
For anyone seeking a faith-centered approach to addiction recovery, this workbook is a blessing. It’s evident that the author put immense care and expertise into creating a resource that resonates on both spiritual and practical levels. Highly recommend to anyone looking to merge their spiritual journey with their road to

Amazing piece of work …….
In the Big Book of alcoholics anonymous, it says the quick to see where religious people are right. I was very close-minded in the past before I got sober. I was quick to see where they were wrong. Baruch Binyamin has put together an amazing workbook that has never been done before. After one gets sober, and they go through this 12 steps as outlined in the big book, there is more always to be done. Outside help such as therapy, and tapping into one’s own religion, or different religions. I’m looking forward to starting a group that will go through this workbook page by page. What a great opportunity to become a better human being in this world 🙏

Adds a Biblical dimension to 12 step work
This workbook is useful for someone who’s working the 12 steps. It respects the 12 steps and the AA program, but it adds a Biblical dimension. For me, this is helpful, because I am a religious person, and being able to connect my faith, the Bible, and addiction recovery in a workbook format helps me in sobriety. The book goes through all 12 steps in 90 daily exercises, by way of each of the 5 books of the Old Testament – Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy – and for each day, the author provides a verse from the Old Testament, along with some journaling questions.

How spirituality really underlies sobriety — simple, clear, a brilliant book
This workbook prompted me to think differently about God’s role in recovery. Each of the 90 days covered by the book comes with thought-provoking journaling questions that make you examine the miracles we experience in sobriety on a daily basis. What’s amazing to me is how the Bible contains so much deep wisdom for us, if we would only read it and take time to reflect on its words.
